UOW MBA program ranked among Oceania’s top 10
Postgraduate programs provide training and skills needed to succeed in business world
The 51 (UOW) has been ranked 9th in Oceania and in the top 200 in the world for its (MBA) program.
The prestigious 2020 QS Global MBA Rankings, released today (Thursday 26 September), reveal the best business schools in the world for getting a job or becoming an entrepreneur.
Worldwide, the was ranked in the top 150-200 band.
In the 2020 QS Masters in Management Rankings, released at the same time, UOW’s program ranked 74th in the world, up two places from the previous year.
The Master of Management is designed to enhance students’ career opportunities by developing their theoretical and practical skills and knowledge in key management areas.
UOW Faculty of Business Executive Dean Professor (pictured above) said the rankings were an excellent achievement and highlighted the strength of postgraduate program.
“These rankings are a reflection of UOW Sydney Business School’s commitment to providing students with exceptional training and skills that will set them apart in the business world and attract potential employers,” Professor Areni said.
“Our postgraduate courses give students hands-on experiences solving real-life business problems. They graduate equipped with the critical thinking, analytical and decision-making tools needed to succeed in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing business world.”
The QS Global MBA Rankings used five metrics to determine an overall score for each institution: employability; entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes; return on investment; thought leadership; and diversity.
UOW’s MBA program ranked equal 31st in the world for diversity (up from 135 last year) and 93rd for thought leadership (up from 127).
The employability indicator showed that 91 per cent of UOW MBA graduates are employed three months after graduation, which was greater than the global mean of 83 per cent.

The MBA Advanced is designed for experienced professionals with ambition and drive who wish to specialise further in a specific area of business including Accounting, Business Analytics (a new major for 2020, subject to final approval), Finance, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Project Management or Supply Chain Management.
Graduates will gain a holistic strategic business point-of-view required to operate effectively in an increasingly competitive and changing global business world.
The metrics used for the Masters in Management Rankings were: employability; alumni outcomes; value for money; thought leadership; and diversity.
UOW ranked equal 16th in the world for diversity and 20th in the world for value for money.
In the employability indicator, 91 per cent of UOW graduates were employed six months after graduation, above the global mean of 90 per cent.
