In May 2023, staff from the faculties of Business and Law and Science, Medicine and who had been awarded Erasmus+ grants, travelled to the University of Almeria (UAL) in Spain. UAL is a UOW Partner Institution and Erasmus+ is a European Union initiative that promotes mobility and collaboration opportunities within higher education.

In February 2023, three BAL staff members were awarded Erasmus+ grants to travel to the UOW Partner Institution, the University of Almeria in Spain. Staff members from UOW were offered the fantastic opportunity to travel to sunny Spain to connect with staff at UAL as well as their partner institutions.

Fatma Kara is from Turkey and following on from studying a Bachelor of Law and International Relations, she worked as a lawyer in Istanbul for a few years. She then studied an Air and Space Law LLM in the Netherlands at Leiden University. We hope you enjoy getting to know our new TLPC PhD candidate.
