What will I do?
The Engineering & Information Sciences (EIS) Summer Research Scholarship program encourages high achieving students to consider undertaking a higher degree research project under the supervision of a leading researcher or research team to stimulate their enthusiasm for a potential research career.
Your role is to undertake project management research by working on a real research project with respected and accomplished researchers and academics.
The Scholarship has a stipend of $500.00 per week for the Scholarship duration.

How do I apply?
If you are eligible to apply, you will receive an email. Applications open in the October of each year.
Are there any special requirements for this role?
To be eligible for a EIS Summer Research Scholarship students must have high academic achievement. This will typically be achieved with a WAM > 80 over the course of your degree to date.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a UOW Faculty of EIS undergraduate or Masters (Coursework) degree.
Preference will be given to students who will commence their final year of studies the following year. You must be prepared to commit to the required time. This is usually for a period of 8 to 12 weeks with a minimum of 20 hours per week and a maximum of 30 hours per week. The Scholarship will need to be completed between November and 31 March.
Scholarships will be awarded to selected students based on academic merit and research potential in the preferred area of study.
Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition
An "engaged" student will need to complete a minimum of 160 hours.
A "highly engaged"student will need to complete a minimum of 360 hours.
